Our barn

Anstey Grove Barn has six rooms arranged around a large, comfortable lounge with a woodburner for those cosy winter breaks and beautiful garden and lawns to make the most of the English summer.

Anstey Grove Barn

Located in a perfectly peaceful spot with the farm’s own woodland, fields and wild-flower meadow to explore – before you even venture out for walks in and around the village – it’s ideal for a rural and restful break, but, within easy reach of local towns, as well as Cambridge, London and Stansted Airport, it’s also very well-connected for a week-night stop-over on your way elsewhere.

The Rooms

All rooms are en-suite: four doubles (including one master suite with four-poster bed, and bathroom with free standing roll top bath, shower and seperate WC), and two twins.

Kitchen

The barn has a modern kitchen with gas range, microwave, large fridge and dishwasher available for self-catering, or by prior arrangement.

The lounge

Located around a large open fire with wood-burning stove, the lounge area has comfortable sofas and armchairs and is stocked with books, information about the local area, and games.

The garden

A private, scented and walled garden in which to relax – should the weather allow it – and play boules or watch the sunset.

The fields and meadow

All our guests are welcome to wander down through our fields and into our wild-flower meadow, enclosed on all sides by trees and listed as an important site on the Herts Wildlife Trust register. All year round it’s a truly stunning spot.

The woods

On your way down to the meadow, take a detour and wander through the broad leaf woodland we planted in 1986 with the help of our friends and neighbours. The more eagle-eyed among you might even spot the trees initialled for each of our grandchildren!

Parking

We have plenty of space for parking your vehicle for the duration of your stay.
